Planetarium

During our free fun-filled trip to Salt Lake, we stopped over at the planetarium. We also wanted to go to the zoo, but it was cold and rainy, so we vetoed that idea. But we had fun at the planetarium! Pictures were taken of course.

We took a trip to Mars while we were there!

It's so fun going to the planetarium! You always learn some cool facts you didn't know before. Definitely going there again!

The Grand America Hotel

So my super sexy husband is pretty awesome...oh my word that so reminds me, before we adopted Jared, Shalum and his friend, Spencer, were claiming that when we adopted him, his name was going to be Super Sexy Shalum Spencer Stone, the dorks I know. But every once in a while we call Jared, Super Sexy...but anyway, back to my husband being awesome. So my husband has a second job, he's building his own business through Primerica (hoping to eventually get out of mining), and in his base shop there are often prizes for getting so many sales, or making so much commission, or something of the sort. Well Shalum won a trip to Salt Lake. We stayed a night at The Grand America Hotel. Talk about nice! We were certainly styling it up! We of course had to take pictures, because really, how often will we find ourselves in a place like that again? The trip was a month ago, I know and I'm only just now posting about it? I've been busy this past month. But anyway, here are some pictures....

Events and accomplishments

Hellloooo.....So it's been a while since I've posted anything, so I am here to remedy that. July passed with me being sick with one thing or another, not fun. About 2 weeks ago Shalum and I celebrated our 9th anniversary. I can't believe we've been married 9 years already! And man was I spoiled! Shalum got me 3 charms for my bracelet that he and Jared got me for Mother's Day (and they aren't cheap) and he got me a really nice ipod that holds like a gazillion songs. It makes me so happy.... Of course Shalum makes me happy too, but I do love my ipod. :) 

Other things that have happened, my nephew, Tallin, came home from his mission! Happened to come home the night of our anniversary. It was so exciting to see him! Seeing him come into the airport was just the best sight. Everyone started cheering when we saw him, which scared Jared, and for the rest of the time at the airport he was crying and pouting. Poor little guy. And my niece, Kami, turned 8 and was baptized. What was even better about that was that Tallin was home to be there for it! When we were out at the Church's house after Tallin's homecoming talk, Hyrum told me that Jared has ears like him. And if you know Hyrum and his ears then you know what a GOOD thing this is! I LOVE Bummy's ears! Jax does have big ears like Bummy's but they don't stick out like his, which is something that I absolutely adore about Bummy's ears. I love all my nieces and nephews and could probably go on and on about them, but since I have so many and it can quite literally take forever, I'll just move along to other things that have taken place within my own little family. 

Jared turned 9 months old a few days ago and has made a few accomplishments. He can now:

-army crawl
-babbles a lot (he has gotten quite vocal this past week)
-climb stairs
-pull himself up onto his feet
-and remove his very own diaper

I can't say I'm all that thrilled about the diaper part, but since then I've put him in shorts or a onesie so this cannot happen again. Well that's about it for now. I'll try not to stay away so long next time.
